Chair Brandt called the meeting to order at 12:28
DuBois made a motion to approve the Draft January 2009 Goal II meeting minutes as presented.
Preda seconded the motion.
Approved by voice vote.
Motion passed.
Part B:
Theresa Preda reported that a few CILs are not capturing the information on the Part B Reports as well as others, and may need assistance in completely capturing what they are doing. Brandt will meet with Preda before the July quarterly meeting to plan for year three. It was also recommended that the committee meeting in July be extended to two hours in order to develop recommendations for the Part B deliverables for year three. Feedback will also be sought from Maureen Hollowell, as she provides the coordination and technical assistance.
Ward-Solomon made a motion that Brandt, Preda, and others as needed meet to clarify/identify any reporting problems with Part B reports.
Preda seconded the motion.
Approved by voice vote.
Motion passed.
Jack Brandt briefed the Council on the current activities of the VA Alliance for Community.
Preda made a motion for Brandt to communicate with the VA Alliance for Community and report back to the SILC with and update regarding refunding institutions.
Ward-Solomon seconded the motion.
Approved by voice vote.
Motion passed.
Community Integration Advisory Commission:
Preda reported on efforts to remove nurse supervision in 2010 and that current legislation will likely be put forth in the Governor’s Legislative Package making nurse delegation unnecessary in most Consumer Directed Personal Care.
Goal 2 Surveys:
Kriner reviewed the draft survey provided in the meeting packet.
DuBois made motion to get any feedback on the survey to Jack by 5/15/09.
Kenney seconded the motion.
Approved by voice vote.
Motion passed.
Decision made to wait until the SILC staff position is filled before appointing a new Olmstead liaison vacancy.
Meeting was adjourned at 1:51 p.m.
