Jack Brandt called the meeting to order at 3:30 PM due to the absence of Mary Mathena.

Old Business
Approve Minutes
Jack Brandt presented the minutes for the July meeting.

Sarah Liddle made a motion to approve the July minutes.
Raymond Kenney seconded.
Motion passed unanimously by voice vote.


New Business

Update on Part B Reports

Maureen Howell, of the VACIL, provided a report regarding the Coordination Grant for SPIL Goal 2 Activities for the 4th quarter report of FY2009. Howell reported that all centers submitted their quarterly reports to the SILC and DRS. She reports that monthly conference calls are continuing with all 16 CILs and the VACIL is continuing to provide technical assistance to the Centers. She also reports that a new housing task force was formed and VACIL members are participants. Howell also reported that the Department of Housing and Urban Development will release Section 8 vouchers for people with disabilities who are not elderly. She stated that the Centers are encouraging the local PHA’s and VDHA to apply for the Section 8 vouchers when they become available to Virginia.

Howell also noted that the ARRA Part B funds there will be a housing training in Charlottesville on November 4th and 5th. She noted that the presenters are scheduled.

Update on Community Integration
Theresa Preda provided an update on Community Integration Implementation Team (Olmstead).

Theresa Preda and Maureen Howell are updating the part B report submitted by the CILs.
