The Statewide Independent Living Council recognizes The Warren G. Stambaugh Memorial Foundation for its contribution to the Statewide Independent Living Fund.
The Warren G. Stambaugh Memorial Foundation was established in 1991 to honor the memory of Delegate Warren G. Stambaugh, who served in the Virginia General Assembly from Arlington for 17 years.
Throughout his career, Delegate Stambaugh fought for the rights of persons with disabilities. He was the champion of the rights of the mentally and physically disabled having authored the landmark Virginians with Disabilities Act."
